Right next to Münsterhof, you’ll find on of the most famous churches in Zürich – Fraumünster. Built on the remains of an old abbey from the 9th century, its name translates into Women’s Minster and it was erected by Louis the German for his daughter Hildegard. In 1970, five large stained glass windows were installed, designed by the renowned artist Marc Chagall, each depicting a story from the bible.
