Aix – en – Provence is known as the city of a thousand fountains because, well… it’s got a lot of fountains. The largest and most famous one is La Rotonde at the end of Cours Mirabeau. The fountain was built 1860 and lies under three statues representing justice, art and agriculture, in the honour of the main activities of the city. I tried to see every important fountain and I just loved discovering them in the most unsuspecting places. I’ll be showing you other ones in the next few days.
