The wonderful Florence has attracted artists for centuries, and famed Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky is no exception. He rented a house right across the street from the beautiful Pitti Palace, where he lived for with his second wife. He even finished one of his famous novels here – The Idiot. After I marveled in the ”amazingness” that is Pitti Palace, I made a pit stop by Dostoyevsky’s old door. There aren’t many sings to this landmark, and you can easily walk past it without noticing it, but I think every book nerd should make sure to stop by this this spot, when in Florence.
